Home of Athletic Club in Bilbao, San Mamés Barria carries one of Spanish football’s strongest local identities. Opened in 2013 on the old San Mamés site, it kept the bond between club and city, and matchdays still feel proudly Basque, loud, and close to the pitch. You are near the centre here, so it is an easy ground to fold into a wider visit, with La Liga football and a crowd that rarely feels tourist-first.
