How Football Finder's data works

Football Finder is only as useful as the data behind it, so here is exactly where that data comes from, how often it changes, how accurate it is, and how to tell us when something looks wrong.

Where does Football Finder's data come from?

Fixtures come from official league feeds and licensed data providers, spanning more than 200 competitions worldwide, from the top European leagues to lower divisions and select non-league. We do not scrape unofficial sources.

On top of the raw fixtures, we add the context that makes a matchday plannable: stadium locations and capacities, nearest public-transport stops, weather, and travel information. Some pages also carry short written intros for stadiums and clubs, which are labelled with a "last updated" date.

How often is the data updated?

Fixtures refresh multiple times a day, so new matches, schedule changes, and confirmed venues flow in. Final scores are added after matches finish, we do not update scores live during a game. Slower-moving reference data, like stadium and travel details, is refreshed on a longer cycle because it rarely changes.

How accurate are kickoff times and venues?

Accurate the large majority of the time, but football schedules move. Some fixtures appear before their exact date and kickoff time are confirmed, competitions often schedule a round before broadcasters pick the slots, so treat those as provisional until the club confirms them. Kickoffs get shifted for broadcast, cup ties land at neutral or unannounced venues, and matches are postponed for weather or fixture congestion. Before you travel, always confirm the date, time, and venue with the home club's official channel.

How do ticket prices and links work?

We surface ticket options from our ticket partners and link you through to buy. Prices come from those platforms, cover both primary and secondary marketplaces, and can be above or below face value. Some ticket links are affiliate links: if you buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and it never affects which matches we show or how we rank them. Our ticket safety guide explains how to buy safely.

How do I report a mistake?

If something looks wrong, tell us. Use the "report a mistake" link on any match or stadium page, or contact us. We review reports and correct genuine errors quickly. You can read more about the product in our about page and FAQ.
