Home of FSV Mainz 05, MEWA ARENA sits in the southwest of Mainz and feels close to the club’s modern, hard-working identity. Opened in 2011, it is a compact Bundesliga ground with a lively crowd and a reputation for noise when the game gets going. It is outside the old centre rather than in it, so the trip is straightforward but has more of an out-of-town feel than a classic inner-city stadium walk. Expect a local crowd, a direct atmosphere, and a matchday that feels rooted in the city rather than dressed up for tourists.
